New energy project has support of IDB

The reef gets a scrubbing

The largest coral reef in the Western Hemisphere stretches from the tip of the Yucatán Peninsula down to the Bay Islands of Honduras. Known as the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, it is the second largest coral reef in the world.

Belize team wins major canoe race

Team Belize Bank have won the tenth annual La Ruta Maya Belize River challenge. Known as the biggest major sporting event in Belize, the La Ruta Maya River Challenge saw 93 teams of three paddlers go head to head in a four-day, one hundred and seventy-five mile canoe race.

Threatened Union strike
