Citizens to be fined for littering

The San Pedro town council has launched a vigorous campaign to dissuade residents from littering the streets and parks of the city. After a grace period expired officials started writing tickets to offenders.

The reef gets a scrubbing

The largest coral reef in the Western Hemisphere stretches from the tip of the Yucatán Peninsula down to the Bay Islands of Honduras. Known as the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, it is the second largest coral reef in the world.
