Conspiracy foiled

Many shooting occurred over the weekend and authorities are saying it could have been worse. Police are holding suspects and will not reveal their source as to the information leading to the arrest of the three who conspired murder.

With so much contraband being smuggled into Belize the customs officers have been given 10 bullet proof vests and two lights by the AntiContraband Committe of the Chamber of Commerce to help them stem the flow.

Cops Beat Stevedore

Kevin Peters, twenty-eight, is suffering from a broken right leg and other injuries which he claims he received from four police officers when he was on his way to work. An internal investigation is being conducted.

Shooting Injures Teen

In a Belize City neighbourhood last night shots echoed through the quiet night and when the dust settled a 14 year old by-stander had been shot and was fighting for his life. The shooter had not worn a mask and has been identified.

Double Murder

Three weeks of peace on the streets of Belize City was broken with a bang, a couple in fact. A gunman entered a house and started shooting and by the time he was finished to young men lay dead and another one seriously injured.
