Belize safe from financial crisis, says central bank

Belize will be relatively safe from any harm that the crash in United States may bring to the world. This is according to the new Central Bank of Belize, at the very least.

There will be certainly a reduction in direct foreign investments in the nation, but the impact is not that large to seriously affect the economy of Belize. Furthermore, the dollar stock of the country, pegged at $150 million, can last up to three months of importation.
